Highest transfer fee's paid! good value or not?
|
For me most of the value is at the bottom of this list. Payet has to be the best value, yes i know most of us hate him now but what a player he was when he wanted to be. Haller has to be the biggest waste of money, not only because he has been by the far the most expensive but because of how good he has been at Frankfurt and Ajax before and after leaving us. Ayew at £22m makes me laugh, 9 goals in 43 games. Anyway what do you lot think.
1.Haller £45m 2.Anderson £34m 3.Zouma £31m 4.Vlasic £27m 5.Fornals £25m 6.Diop £22m 7.Ayew £22m 8.Benrahma £21m 9.Arnautovic £20m 10.Bowen £20m 11.Yarmolenko £18m 12.Hernandez £16m 13.Carroll £16m 14.Soucek £15m 15.Payet £14m

I've not put him there, these are the 15 players we have paid the most for in our history!

Agree with Tak, what Dawson has given makes his fee look like pocket money to a kid.
And yes, what Dev gave us in exchange for 5 bags was fucking ridiculous.

Cantana from Leeds to Man Utd,hard to think of any other player whose mere presence brought so much to a team.

I’d say about 5 or the 15 were value for money.

It's fees, not fee's.
Bowen has proved brilliant value for less than half a Haller.

Billy Bonds, £59000
We should ask Charlton if they've any more at the price

Half believe Alfs knows this - Hellers, sometimes know as Hallers, were European coins worth roughly 0.5d.
When they started, 0.5d wasn't too mean an amount, but 800 years of inflation have done for it.

Economically speaking it would depend on the total cost V the return. Do you make a profit from the player? Obvs remaining in the Prem is the no 1 return. However after that its transfers and wages.
As far as a fan is concerned it would be entertainment and image. Are they mardy or are they entertaining?
